This IBM AIX Jumpstart for Experienced UNIX/Linux Administrators training course is targeted at cross-training experienced HP-UX, SUN Solaris and other UNIX Administrators who wish to implement and manage systems capable of running the AIX Operating System. Students attending this course should therefore have a good understanding and experience of managing and running UNIX like systems.
Reference will be made to the AIX commands required to administer the system, although practical work will concentrate on using the System Management Interface Tool (SMIT) to achieve the course objectives. Although the course is based on AIX Version 7.1, it is also appropriate for prior releases of AIX.

With regards to the course, it was an excellent "Jumpstart" in to the world of AIX for the Solaris/Linux Administrator. The course was well paced and the subjects covered were perfect for those moving in to the world of AIX Administration for established systems. The instructor, Mark Holloway, was excellent, very knowledgeable, helpful and willing to explore the subjects to a pace suited to your abilities. I could not of wished for a better instructor. I would recommend this course to anyone with a firm understanding of Solaris, HPUX or Linux who requires a good grounding in to the differences between them and IBM AIX. Thank you.

Great course, the Trainer was a very knowledgeable instructor. Unfortunately were in a pandemic so the delivery method gave us various constraints but it still worked well
