The Oracle Database 18c Essential Administration course is designed for Database Administrators of small sized databases who need to carry out basic system administration tasks on Oracle Database 18 database.

The Oracle Database 18c Essential Administration course is also suitable for support staff and personnel who are required to carry out occasional administration or troubleshooting tasks. The Oracle Database 18c Essential Administration course is not aimed at delegates who are full time Database Administrators. The focus is on using Enterprise Manager Express and SQL Developer to teach delegates how to manage the database. The usage of SQL*Plus is also covered.

Exercises and examples are used throughout the course to give practical hands-on experience with the techniques covered.

Requirements

Delegates wishing to attend the Oracle Database 18c Essential Administration course should have an understanding of relational database concepts and basic operating system knowledge. They should also have a working knowledge of Oracle SQL, this can be gained by attendance on the pre-requisite course.

This course is run on a Linux operating system, a basic knowledge of UNIX/Linux is recommended but is not essential.
