Modern, Responsive Websites with HTML & CSS (3 days) HTML & CSS are the fundamental building blocks of the web. This course is designed to provide delegates with the knowledge and skills necessary to build and deploy stylish, accessible websites that look good on any device. Delegates will learn how to build websites that incorporate text elements, hyperlinks, images, audio and video, tables and forms, all styled using the latest CSS techniques. Delegates will also learn how to make their sites responsive from the start. Core JavaScript (2 days) JavaScript is one of the most popular and commonly used programming languages today. Not only is it the language of the web and front-end frameworks like Angular and React, but it can now be used to build anything (front-end, back-end, or otherwise) thanks to runtimes like NodeJS. This course is designed to provide delegates with the fundamental knowledge and skills necessary to code in JavaScript, but with special attention on the front-end. Delegates will learn about variables and data types, functions, program flow, the DOM, event handling, and Web APIs. Intermediate JavaScript (2 days) The Intermediate JavaScript course is designed to move delegates beyond the fundamentals. It serves to set delegates on course to dive into one of the many JavaScript frameworks. Delegates will learn about modern syntax, object-orientation, functional programming, asynchronous programming, managed apps, and testing. The courses can be taken in shoter duration as outlined above, or can be taken in longer events dependent on your time resources and the targets you are aiming to achieve. The 5 courses are:
Front-end Web Developer (5 days) and JavaScript Developer (4 days). For those with limited HTML & CSS skills who are aiming to focus more on the JavaScript course, we also offer an introductory course Introduction to HTML & CSS (1 day) that will provide the necessary skills.
