You’ll see how workflow design and communication can affect consistency, responsiveness and team performance.

Examine how continuous integration, continuous delivery, testing and security are used within a DevOps environment. You’ll look at the role each practice plays as software moves through development and release, including how teams can introduce checks and controls throughout the process. You’ll see how these practices work together to support dependable and manageable change.

This course provides you with a solid foundation in what DevOps is, why it emerged and the challenges it is designed to address. You’ll examine the relationship between development and operations, alongside the role of the wider business. By becoming familiar with key terminology and principles, you’ll be better equipped to discuss DevOps approaches and understand the responsibilities different teams have within a shared delivery environment.

Examine how AI technologies are beginning to influence DevOps activity and where they may have practical value. You’ll be introduced to AIOps and generative AI applications, with examples of how they can be used alongside existing DevOps processes. The emphasis is on understanding appropriate uses, limitations and context, helping you judge where emerging technologies can complement established ways of working.
