This course is designed primarily for administrators, developers and support personnel who need to access and work with an Oracle Database. |
Objectives: |
By the end of this course, the delegate will be able to:
- Select data from an Oracle Database using SQL*Plus and SQL Developer
- Create SQL statements to select data from an Oracle Database
- Use SQL run time parameters
- Use aggregate functions
- Use numeric, character, date, conversion and miscellaneous functions
- Use subqueries
- Create and alter tables, indexes and views
- Create, update and delete records
- Manage sequences and synonymns
- Access the Data Dictionary
- Describe the Basic Structure of a PL/SQL Block
- Use PL/SQL IF Statements, Expressions and LOOP Constructs
- Declare and use Cursors
- Use record types and PL/SQL Tables
- Handle Errors and Exceptions within PL/SQL Scripts
