The Introduction to SQL on Oracle course is designed to give delegates practical experience in using SQL.
The delegates will practise:
Anyone who needs to understand and use SQL to manipulate a database.
There are no formal pre-requisites for this Introduction to SQL on Oracle course, although an understanding of databases and exposure to information technology in general would be useful.
To provide the knowledge and skills needed to retrieve data held in a relational database using Oracle Database.
There is an overlap between the content of this 1 day Introduction to SQL course and the content on the suggested follow-on Oracle and MySQL/MariaDB courses. You may wish to review the content of the 3 day Oracle SQL course, the 3 day Introduction to MySQL course or the 3 day Introduction to MariaDB course and if more suitable to your training needs attend one of those courses rather than this 1 day Introduction to SQL course.
Some previous programming or database experience would be useful.
NOTE: Course technical content is subject to change without notice.
Loved the practical element, too often you go to these things and you go away not actually being able to do anything. Very calm and thoughtful instructor. Thank you.
Nick - Data Analyst - Government - October 2016
The course was at the ideal pace for someone who had little experience with SQL - there was nothing overloading about the course and I left with a lot more confidence in using SQL Developer.
David - Account Manager - IT
Our independent Oracle, Solaris & Red Hat Linux curriculums helps prepare delegates for official certification.
Having previously undertaken a similar course in the past I expected this course to not be especially beneficial, however this was not the case at all. I have garnered some very useful new skills and knowledge. The trainer's subject knowledge and delivery are a credit to himself and Stayahead. I was constantly engaged and rarely found myself requiring a repeat of the coursework but when needed he was more than helpful in explaining where I was struggling.Laurence - Operations Support - Finance - September 2017
