Commercial Awareness Training Course

IS professionals – business analysts, project managers, solution architects and others – need a good understanding of the broader context of the organisation and the business domain in which their work takes place. This course examines a number of aspects of this wider context and provides insights into various financial, commercial and organisational issues.

The course uses a mixture of discussions and group and individual exercises to explore the topic areas and, at the end of each section, test questions help participants prepare for the optional BCS examination (see below). A comprehensive course manual is provided.

BCS Professional Certifications

The course prepares participants to sit the one-hour, multiple-choice examination leading certificate in Commercial Awareness offered by BCS, The Chartered Institute for IT. This certificate is a knowledge-based specialist module in the BCS Diploma in Business Analysis .
